Mark Pascoe
Chief Executive
Mark Pascoe has worked for his 30 year career in the water industry – predominately in Brisbane, Australia. He spent many years with Brisbane City Council where his most recent position was as the Manager, Water and Sewerage. He was for a brief period the Queensland Operations Manager of Woodward-Clyde Pty Ltd, an environmental engineering consultancy. He left the BCC role to take up the position of Deputy Director, International Water Association in London, which he held for three years before returning to Brisbane recently. Mark has held positions of President, Australian Water Association; Board Member, Water Services Association of Australia; Board Member, Co-operative Research Centre, Water Quality and Treatment; Board Member, Global Water Research Coalition. Recently he has been elected as the President of the Australian Water Partnership ( the Australian presence of the Global Water Partnership and is a Director of Environment Business Australia. Mark is the CEO of the International WaterCentre where his role is to lead the development of the Joint Venture in providing solutions to Water Management issues for national and international clients. |

Bronwyn Powell
Executive ManagerBronwyn Powell is an experienced environmental scientist and project manager working predominantly in the aid and community development sectors. At IWC Bronwyn is responsible for a range of IWC projects, marketing and business development activities. In the past Bronwyn has worked on a range of catchment management, rural development and natural resource governance projects in project management, training and consulting capacities for UniQuest Pty Ltd, International Centre for Environmental Management, Greening Australia, Qld Department of Natural Resources and Mines and the Indonesian Institute of Sciences. This experience includes project concept preparation and design, monitoring and evaluation, financial and contractual management, business and strategic planning and proposal preparation. Bronwyn’s (MEnvSc, BSc/BA) knowledge of ecology and biophysical sciences, overlayed with expertise in social science methods, participatory approaches and institutional analysis enable her to focus on the social origins of environmental problems and work towards meaningful solutions. |
Sharon Phillips
Executive AssistantSharon Phillips is an experienced office manager and administrator, having worked most recently with Lloyd Consulting Pty Ltd as the Quality Manager. In IWC Sharon’s role includes implementation and co-ordination of the Quality Management Framework, website maintenance, Admin Team leader and management support. Before working in administration Sharon worked for a number of years as a teacher of special needs children, specialising in vision impairment and language disability.

Madonna Falzon
Accounts OfficerMadonna has had a number of years' experience in accounts and secretarial work, having held jobs such as Veterinary Nurse, Medical Secretary, and Accounts and Administration Officer.

Campbell Allen
IT OfficerCampbell Allen is an experienced Network Administrator and Software Engineer. At IWC, Campbell is responsible for the maintenance of all computing operations as well as website development. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Information Technology, specialising in Software Engineering and Data Communications. He has experience at The University of Queensland as a Network Administrator.

Sabine Stolle
Project/ Accounts Support Officer
Sabine Stolle supports IWC staff in all administrative aspects of project management, and is responsible for management of financial data through spreadsheets. She has many years of experience in administration, office management, bookkeeping and finance management at several companies in Germany. From 1994 to 2001, she owned and operated a company evolving niche markets for clean photovoltaic energy and stand-alone power supplies. She was responsible for customer relationship management in the marketing department of Deutsche Bank Bauspar AG in Frankfurt before coming to Australia in 2005.

Danielle Pedi
Programs Co-ordinator, Education & ResearchDanielle has experience in planning, management and evaluation of environmental and international development projects. With a BA in Political Science and an MSocSci in International Urban and Environmental Management, she has a keen interest in the governance, policy and planning aspects of natural resource management, and in particular the role of community-based approaches. Danielle has experience in watershed strategic planning with the Rhode Island State Department of Environmental Management in the U.S. She has done research for the Australian Conservation Foundation on environmental projects in Timor Leste and Papua New Guinea, and for World Vision Australia. Danielle is responsible for the coordination of logistical and administrative aspects of IWC education and training projects as well as involvement in and facilitation of IWC research and consulting projects.

Daniel Kalb
Trainee Office CoordinatorDaniel is currently studying for his Certificate III in Business Administration while he works at IWC as Office Co-ordinator. In this role Daniel provides direct support to the Executive Assistant and IWC staff, including some PA work for IWC's Chief Executive, co-ordinates the operation of the IWC Brisbane office, and provides general IT support.

Peter Oliver
Senior Lecturer
Peter leads the development and delivery of International Water Centre education and training products, in particular the Master of Integrated Water Management Program. He is also involved in integrated water management research with partner universities. Peter was previously a Principal Natural Resource Officer (Science) with Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Water. His work in this role involved research on social science aspects of collaborative natural resource management, particularly water and catchment planning and management.Dr Oliver is also Adjunct Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Governance and Public Policy, Department of Politics and Public Policy, Griffith University. Peter has academic qualifications in ecology, land use management, education and social science and over twenty years experience in citizen participation and natural resource management education and extension, particularly in the areas of water and catchment management. |
