National Networks

In addition to its member Universities and knowledge parttners, IWC works cooperatively with a range of national organisations including:

 

Australian Water Association

IWC is a corporate member of the Australian Water Association, participating in technical seminars and national conferences.


Engineers Without Boarders

IWC and EWB have undertaken joint activities including a jointly hosted seminar on on Water, Poverty and Ethics of Development presented by Dr Caroline Sullivan, distinguished Research Fellow from the Oxford University Centre for the Environment. IWC staff also participated in the EWB trade show and Developing Pathways Workshop.


CSIRO and Southeast Queensland Urban Water Security Research Alliance

Griffith University and The University of Queensland joined with CSIRO and the Queensland Government as members of the Urban Water Security Research Alliance. The Alliance will work with IWC, Healthy Waterways and the Queensland Water Commission's expert panel to research smarter outcomes for Queensland's water future.


Queensland State Government

In addition to expert advisory panel work being undertaken by IWC for the purified recycled water project of the Queensland Water Commission, IWC and the State Government have collaborated on several international delegations. IWC has presented at International Aid and Development networking sessions and participated in various environment business forums.


WaterAid Australia

IWC is a member of WaterAid Australia and is represented on its Program Advisory Committee. IWC participates in WaterAid Australia fundraising activities and both oranisations are collaborating to publish a collection of case studies entitled Sharing Experiences: Water and Sanitation in South East Asia and the Pacific.
