Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship
Every year, the International RiverFoundation awards the Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship to provide an invaluable opportunity for young emerging community leaders from developing countries to study IWC Master of Philosophy in Integrated Water Management at Monash South Africa.
The scholarship gives successful recipients a chance to develop their integrated water management knowledge and skills so that they may make a real and positive difference to the way water is managed in their local communities and countries in which they live.
Scholarship value
Tuition fees and student overseas health care to study at Monash South Africa, a campus of Monash University.
Selection criteria
- Be recognised as, or have the potential to be, a leader in integrated water management in your country or region
- Have practical experience in integrated water management, or a related Have a four-year degree (Honours or equivalent) in a related field of study from an internationally recognised institution
- Have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement
- Come from a country that has a recognised need
- Be of good character
- Make satisfactory academic progress throughout the program
