Hines, K, 2011 –– Implementing IWRM in the Pacific: Improving Demonstration Project Information Management

Kelly interned with the Global Environment Facility (GEF) funded Pacific IWRM Project, which works to implement demonstration IWRM projects throughout the Pacific. She focused on improving information management to more efficiently capture project data, particularly lessons learned through IWRM implementation.

There is a great need to establish clearer ways to capture and exchange lessons learned about implementation throughout the global IWRM community. Though some avenues exist, there is no true central IWRM experiences repository; without this, valuable knowledge about implementation is effectively being lost instead of passed on to those who would benefit from it.
