Network of Asian River Basin Organisations– NARBO
NARBO promotes integrated water resource management (IWRM) in monsoonal areas in the Asia-pacific Region. Through training, information exchange and IWRM, NARBO aims to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of River Basin Organisations and improve water governance.
Integrated Citarum Water Resource Management Investment Program – ICWRMIP
The Citarum River supplies Indonesia’s capital of Java with 80% of its raw water. The Government of Indonesia has witnessed the degradation of the Citarum and the health effects resulting from the water quality and have requested to ADB to fund an integrated integrated investment program as part of a broader “Roadmap” for achieving a shared vision.
River Basin Institute
River Basin Initiative Portal was developed to establish a global network to share information and lessons learned, as well as to link and support activities which uses an integrated approach in managing our biodiversity, wetlands and river basins. The River Basin Institute gives access to education, past project demonstrations and other integrated water resource management activities.
International Commission for the protection of the Danube River – ICPDR
The Danube River is Europe’s second largest and contributes to 14 countries along its flow from origin to the sea. ICPDR websites gives access to the issues facing the river across all boundaries and the river basin management plan. The Danube River is a vital vein of Europe’s health as it contributes to a range of activities from economic, social health and community celebrations.

The River Basin Management Society (RBMS) is a representative body for professionals working with land, water and natural resource management in Australia.

International Network of Basin Organisations (INBO)
The International Network of Basin Organisations (INBO) promotes integrated water resources management for river basins. INBO works to develop relationships amongst organisations, facilitate sharing of knowledge through tools and trainings, promote programs for international cooperation, and evaluate and disseminate its member organisations actions. INBO has Regional Networks in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Latin America, the Mediterranean and North America.
