Aqua Maniacs fighting poverty

IWC Masters students will walk 100km together in under 48 hours to help raise money for people living in poverty around the world.
The Aqua Maniacs are just one of 400 teams of four who will walk from Mt Glorious to Mt Coot-tha starting on Friday 14 June 2013 as part of the endurance challenge Oxfam Trailwalker.

Oxfam Trailwalker is widely regarded as one of Australia’s toughest charity challenges.

Team bio

The International Water Centre (IWC) 2013 Water Leaders team consists of Pauline Komolong from Papua New Guinea, Saboor Jawad from Afghanistan, Asad Changezi from Pakistan and Maria Brusher from the United States along with Melania Intriago from Ecuador (as our dedicated backup). We call ourselves the Aqua Maniacs because we are a little crazy and go to many lengths to help manage water, the land, and improve people’s ability to access water and sanitation to live in today’s changing and challenging world.
