Healthy Waterways Awards 2013 now open
The Healthy Waterways Awards honour the efforts of individuals, groups and organisations who are actively helping to protect and improve South East Queensland’s waterways. There are many projects and initiatives being undertaken throughout the region that are making a positive difference to the waterways and aquatic wildlife. The Awards aim to raise the profile of current waterway health issues, recognise those making a difference and inspire others to take action.
There are 14 Award categories open to individuals, community groups and organisations. Each entrant has the chance to win a share in $25,000 prize money.
Entries are judged by an independent panel of experts. Winners will be announced at the highly anticipated Healthy Waterways Awards Gala Dinner on 31 May 2013.
For the first time, Healthy Waterways is accepting nominations for each Award category. To enter the Awards or nominate a person/project you think deserves recognition, visit www.healthywaterwaysawards.org.
Entries close 5pm Wednesday 13 March 2013.
