Let's talk healthy waterways
The Healthy Waterways Symposium brings together state and regional community, industry professionals, and government to share ideas and work towards protecting the Mackay Whitsunday catchments and the Great Barrier Reef Lagoon. Collaborative learning workshops, presentations, and field trips are included in the Symposium.
The Symposium celebrates initiatives that have already helped create resilient waterways and ecosystems for the Mackay Whitsunday region. The program will also feature keynote addresses from national and international speakers. A major program highlight will be the announcement of the first Mackay Whitsunday Isaac Healthy Waterways Alliance Award winners at the Symposium celebration dinner on Thursday, 14 June at the Conservatorium of Music, Central Queensland University, Mackay.
Coordinated by Reef Catchments and the Healthy Waterways Alliance Mackay Whitsunday Isaac, the Symposium will run from 13-15 June at Central Queensland University, Mackay campus.
