In 2009 the IWC became the managing agent for the International Riversymposium.
The Riversymposium is an unincorporated joint venture between Griffith University, The University of Queensland and the International Riverfoundation.
IWC as the managing agent provided IT, financial, legal, human resource and office support services.
About the International Riversymposium
The International Riversymposium is a world-renowned annual conference focused on a holistic approach to river and water management.
More than 600 delegates from 25 countries attend the event including Australian and international leading scientists, government agencies, corporate leaders and community groups. Since 1997 the forum has built a strong national and international reputation.
The event also recognises and acknowledges excellence in river management by presenting major environmental awards:
