NQ Water is the bulk water supplier to the cities of Townsville and Thuringowa, Sun Metals and Queensland Nickel.  NQ Water owns and operates all the bulk water assets in the Townsville and Thuringowa region.  These assets include the Ross River Dam, Lake Paluma and Crystal Creek, as well as their supporting treatment facilities, and trunk infrastructure including disinfection facilities, pipelines, pressure control valves, telemetry, pump stations and reservoirs. 

NQ Water’s vision is to be recognised by the community and industry as a provider of quality, cost effective and environmentally sustainable water services.

IWC CEO Mark Pascoe was involved in:

  • Providing an assessment of Citiwater’s performance in terms of industry accepted service standards;
  • Providing an assessment of the current contract delivery model; and
  • Recommending a delivery model for the future operations and maintenance of NQ Water’s infrastructure.
