Description of Project
This project is being undertaken in partnership with WaterAid Australia and involves researching and editing a set of case studies for a publication entitled ‘Sharing Experiences: Sustainable Sanitation in Southeast Asia and the Pacific’. The publication is case-study based, and focuses on what worked, what didn’t work and why, with the overall goal of facilitating knowledge exchange on practical application of low-cost sustainable sanitation in the region. The audience is international NGOs and aid agencies and their in-country partners in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The publication aims to capture the experiences and lessons learnt in sanitation in our region to assist organisations in thinking about what might work for them (whether choosing a technology, thinking about an approach to community participation, or ensuring on-going sustainability). The publication will be completed and launched in the first half of 2008.
