IWC and The University of Western Australia were secured funding from the AusAID Public Sector Linkages Program for the Institutional Support for Education and Training in Water and Sanitation project in Timor Leste.

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of Timorese higher education institutions, staff and students in engineering, particularly in fields relating to the water and sanitation sector. To achieve this objective, activities will involve building a long-term relationship and institutional exchange between Timorese universities and The University of Western Australia and other IWC member universities.
