Catchment-based Risk
The Australian Water Research Facility undertakes reserach on freshwater for development and environment in the focus area of the Pacific, particularly ‘fragile states’. Our interdisciplinary team made has together developed a conceptual framework for interdisciplinary research, pursuing catchment-based risk assessment research in the Solomon Islands and Timor Leste. Pursuing a whole-of-water cycle research program at both local catchment scale and global scales allows the research to focus on global trends and approaches whilst testing their application in practice.
