Global Indicators
The approach of this component of the AWRF program is to develop indicators at a range of scales (including a single river basin), depending on the availability of suitable data to link water health/poverty with water. These indicators have been expanded to include environmental outcomes and economic benefits.

These indicators will be useful for comparison and allow for large-scale and at regional scales show within-country variation. Both these approaches will assist AusAID to focus water-related activities and investment. Detailed global indicators (Water Wealth Index) have been developed with researchers at Oxford University and the University of New Hampshire. |
