15. Building Community Resilience

About the course
This interactive course provides participants with an understanding of resilience viewed from a multi-disciplinary perspective, and a framework for building community resilience to improve a community’s capacity to cope with stress, overcome adversity and potentially become stronger when faced with environmental, social, economic or political challenges.
By the end of this course, participants will have a foundational understanding of community resilience, the skills to assess or monitor resilience, and a range of strategies to encourage adaptive capacity within communities and promote partnerships to enhance a community’s ability to overcome challenges.

This course caters for professionals working with communities in a developed or developing country context.
