Semester 1, 2018 IWC Masters Scholarships

 

How to apply | International students


Step 1: Online Application

 
Scholarships candidates who meet the minimum eligibility requirements must submit an online application form by 1 August 2017.
 
When filling the online application form, the following documents will need to be uploaded: 
 
  • Current Resume/CV
  • Two reference letters from a professional or academic referee (*reference letters can be from the same referees who are listed on the applicants' scholarship application form *referees also have the option to email the reference letters directly to admin@watercentre.org)
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency (ELP) - eg. IELTS, TOEFL, PTE test or any other alternative evidence of ELP as UQ's Policy. 
Candidates do not need to submit an application for admission into the MIWM program at the University of Queensland (UQ). They will be invited to do so only if their applications are shortlisted. 
 
 

Step 2: Scholarship Assessment Process

 
The Scholarship Selection Panel will conduct a preliminary assessment of each application received. Each application must meet the minimum eligibility requirements. In early August, applications will be divided into two groups:
 
  • Group 1: shortlisted applications which will be invited to proceed to the next stage; and
  • Group 2: non-eligible and/or non-competitive applications (unsuccessful).
 
Only shortlisted applicants (Group 1) will be invited to submit an application for admission into the MIWM program at UQ. 
 

Step 3: Submit an application for admission 

 

Shortlisted applicants will need to apply for admission in the program through The University of Queensland.

  • International studentsinternational applications for Semester 1 2018 close on 30 November 2017. You may apply for admission for the 2019 academic year.
  • Domestic students (Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents): domestic applications closed on 31 January 2017. You may apply for admission for the 2018 academic year.

Create an account and follow instructions on screen. You can save an incomplete application and return later. Please upload copies of academic transcripts, award certificates and translations when required. You will also need to upload a proof of English Language Proficiency during the application process.

Print and fill out the application form. Please include with your application certified copies of academic transcripts, award certificates and translations when required. You also need to include a proof of English Language Proficiency.

Alternatively, you can submit your application via the nearest authorised UQ representative in your country.


Outcome

 


Your application will be assessed by UQ International Admissions who will inform you by email of the outcome.

Important - please apply for admission before 1 November 2017 if you are also applying for an IWC Masters Scholarship.

Your application will be assessed by The University of Queensland, who will inform you of the outcome.
