By including Fellows with diverse backgrounds and current roles in a variety of government divisions, this program provided the Fellows with experience and exposure to a wide variety of skills and tools to use in solving water problems in an integrated water resource management framework.
While this diversity of Fellows made the development of a program that was appealing to all quite challenging, the goal to enable a wide variety of government staff and organisations to see the value in tackling water issues through an integrated water resource management approach was certainly met.
The twenty Fellows were exposed to a very wide range of experts and tools that can be used in the development and implementation of their own policies and programs throughout Indonesia. The program introduced the Fellows to tools and experts in Australia that will enable them to further develop their roles as water leaders in their organisation.
